Remember all the yummy things that I got in May? (refresher HERE) My tummy sure does…
This month my Foodie Penpal is Michelle from the awesome and fitness inspired blog Push.Pump.Progress. I found Michelle’s blog through an equally awesome blog Fit in Heels. I love having such physically fit, motivating, and freaking hilarious women in my blogusphere world…seriously, check out their blogs and tell me that you don’t feel like you can conquer anything from a marathon, to lifting weights to whipping up a healthy 10 course meal. PHEW! I better take a break…I’m exhausted!
Ok, back to the foodie reveal…once I pulled back the brown paper, which was covered in my little pony stickers (LOVE IT!) I discovered this…
And inside the box was….
Yep…not a bad haul. Once I pulled out all the items and read the lovely letter from Michelle, this is what I got:
Yes…that is a chocolate high heel…how did she know?!
This is from Williams Chocolates, a Whitby, ON chocolate company, which actually donated 300 chocolate flip flops for an event that my organization did a few weeks ago…so I was VERY familiar with their deliciousness. Also from Williams Chocolates, I received chocolate mint leaves…which didn’t photograph well…and that’s NOT because they were eaten immediately….I swear…
I received an awesome assortment of protein, energy and fruit bars. The Caramel Apple bars have become a fast fave!
Tea, tea candies and a strawberry soy drink that tasted JUST like a milkshake that should be a really, really guilty pleasure!
Finally, I got a box of Quinoa, which I am VERY excited about because I ran out of quinoa about a week ago (making THIS recipe from Lean Green Bean) and I have been wanting to try these Pumpkin Quinoa Muffins from Savvy Mom.
SO…that was what was in MY Foodie Penpal box…are you wondering what I sent to my June Foodie Penpal? Well Francoise, from Montreal was so kind as to write a guest blog detailing what I sent and how much he loved it For a sneak peek, click HERE and the full reveal will be sent out later today.
I’m definitely looking forward to July’s Foodie Penpal exchange…since the weather will be getting hot, it will be interesting to see if I can and if my penpal can incorporate some items that help keep you cool…without having a wet box of melted popsicles show up! I’m up for the challenge!!
